About melengua and myself

My name is Julia Mesch and originally I am from Hamburg, where I received my Bachelor's degree for primary- and secondary school teaching with focus on English and German. In the year 2012 I moved to Darmstadt due to private matters and there I focused on adult education.

Here I started to teach German as a foreign language at all levels. To learn more about this exciting work and the backgrounds I started going to University in Mainz in 2013 to work on my Master's degree in German as a foreign language. Meanwhile I kept on working for three private language schools.

I set a focus on business related language learning. With that, I managed to get to know many different fields of work and different kinds of companies. Due to various students with different german levels I was able to get a great overview of all learner types and the differences, which now helps me a lot.

In addition, I possess a Telc-license that allows me to carry out licensed Telc-exams. I also have a Tesol-Certificate which authorizes me to teach English as a foreign language as well.

How does melengua work?

One day I decided that I felt more comfortable with planning and teaching my own classes without having to adjust to methods a language school wants me to use, planned by those who have never taught on their own. This is how, in my opinion, I can offer the best german class. My teachers teach in the same manner, with me always at their side, communicating back and forth. I will also always remain the go-to-person for each and every student.
